Fast Food Healthy Choices
Have you ever wondered if you can still eat fast food and lose weight or maintain? Well you can, it’s just a matter of knowing how your food is cooked, what’s all on it, what other choices are, and knowing the nutrition facts. Take McDonalds for instance, people will say it’s the worst place to go or it’s terrible for you. Honestly , they may be right. However, there are still healthy items to chose from there. Here are a few items to consider. Now keep in mind you can find great items at other restaurants as well.
- grilled chicken fillets (grilled will have so much less fat, a lot more lean,plus it's not deep fried in liquid oil)
- side salads ( you get your greens, plus the tomatoes are amazing metabolism boosters and fat burners)
- salads (if you go chicken try to have the grilled chicken instead of crispy, you'll really cut down the fat and cholesterol levels)
- fruit and yogurt parfaits (more places are offering them as low fat, plus the fruit add antioxidants and vitamins)
- fruit cups
- fruit juice drinks (not only for us, but lets think about the kids. They'll thank us later for it)
Now my favorite restaurant would have to be Subway, great items to choose from, always low fat turkey breast, ham, grilled chicken. Another thing to keep in mind is that these are LEAN MEATS, which helps to boost metabolism and low fat, high protein. Always be sure what you have them put on it. The more greens you put on, the bigger boost to your metabolism. If you’re a mayo person, they do offer light mayo. However, I prefer the vinegarettes, adds a lil more sweetness and zest.
